Cheryl Vitali Named Global President, American Luxury Brands

After leading Kiehl's for more than a decade, Cheryl Vitali is taking a role at the helm of several of L'Oréal's American luxury brands.
Vitali will oversee Urban Decay, It Cosmetics, Clarisonic and Kiehl's as global president of L'Oréal's portfolio of American luxury brands, a newly created role.
During her time at Kiehl's, Vitali oversaw a period of growth for the apothecary brand, including the brand's surge past the 1 billion Euro sales mark, according to industry sources. Now, the brand ranks in the top five across key markets in Asia, Europe and North America. Cyril Chapuy, global president of L'Oréal Luxe, said that Vitali's commitment to the "indie brand philosophy has been major."
Vitali has been with L'Oréal since 2003, and has also worked in marketing across several of the company's brands, including Lancôme, Maybelline and Garnier.
At Kiehl's, Vitali will be succeeded by Leonardo Chavez, global general manager for Maybelline.
Chavez has been with L'Oréal for more than 20 years, and has worked across the Maybelline, Lancôme and Matrix brands.
