Serena Williams Isn't Immune To The Struggles Of Motherhood

As anyone who’s raised a little one can attest, life with kids can be super unpredictable. Just when you think you’ve got everything sorted, a poo explosion/projectile vomit/rogue golden shower can (and will) ruin everything. Just ask, Serena Williams.

Sure, the seven-time Wimbledon champ is used to dominating on the court, but when it comes to the trials of parenting, it’s a whole different ball game.

Case in point: the time she tried to fly with her 11-month-old daughter, Olympia.

“Kids humble us,” she tweeted alongside a snap of the pair posing in a laneway. “The other day on a flight home Olympia had so much energy and insisted on running up and down the aisle. When I finally got her to calm down and sit still, she threw up all over me and in the aisle.”

*Insert, mothers collectively sighing in sympathy here*

Using the hashtag, #ThisMama, the 36-year-old asked her followers to weigh in with their own humbling tales of parenthood to “remind all mothers the importance of supporting one another through the highs, lows, laughs and tears.”

Her post was liked more than 42,0000 times, with hundreds of users flooding her feed with their equally as mortifying experiences.

Serena, we’re right there with you on this one.
