HIMSS21 will stream some in-person sessions online

Some HIMSS21 in-person sessions, including major keynotes and “views from the top,” will be available to watch online.  

HIMSS, parent company of Healthcare IT News, announced this week that 10 in-person HIMSS21 sessions would be available via HIMSS21 Digital and Accelerate, HIMSS’ newly launched platform.  

The sessions to be streamed live on Accelerate (all of which will be available on demand through HIMSS21 Digital) include:   

  • Encouraging the Science of Happiness – An Experiment in Gratitude, with Rainn Wilson and Shabnam Mogharabi
    Thursday, Aug. 12, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. PDT
  • Two Parties, One Stage – A Bold Fireside Chat with Political Leaders, with Chris Christie and Terry McAuliffe

HIMSS announced this past week that it would mandate masking for all attendees, in addition to requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccinations. 

As of July 28, more than 18,000 people had registered for the digital and in-person experience.
