Beyoncé Just Helped Us Understand the Middle-Part Hype
At the Grammys 2021, Beyoncé joined the stage with Megan Thee Stallion to accept her 27th award ever. (She'd later pick up her 28th, breaking the record for the most Grammys ever for a musician). The history-making singer, of course, stunned audiences near and far not only with her attendance but also with her stunning hair and makeup.
For music's big night, Beyoncé's long, honey-blonde hair was brushed out for dramatic volume and texture — an excellent fit her larger-than-life presence. The curls around her face had more structure around her face, which was an excellent touch to keep the look more elegant. The dreamy style is taking us back to her iconic 2017 Grammys performance, just with shorter, less defined curls. Gen Z must be absolutely delighted to see Queen Bey with a middle part.
Beyoncé's signature golden glow obviously made an appearance. To complement it, her makeup artist went full soft glam by blending shimmery taupe shadow all over her lids before sweeping a deeper brown shade onto Bey's creases for a graphic smoky eye look. Thin flicks of black liner were also drawn on.
On Beyoncé's lips, you can catch peachy-pink nude in the center and a caramel brown along the edges. The glossy ombre situation added extra definition to the immaculate look.
Instead of getting her nails done, Bey slipped on a black leather ruched mini dress that had gloves built into it as sleeves. They were tipped with gilded nail-like adornments. Honestly, it's a genius choice in the midst of a pandemic. Leave it to Beyoncé to inspire us to add press-ons to our gloves instead of painting our nails this week.
