Fenty Beauty Is Dropping a New Lipstick Shade Every Day This Week — and We're Trying Them All
It's hard to believe that it was last Fall (early November if you want specifics) when Rihanna first revealed Fenty Beauty's Stunna Lip Paint. Naturally, news of the richly-pigmented, ruby-red liquid lipstick sent fans and beauty editors into a frenzy — one that lasted until it officially launched later that month. When people finally got their hands on Stunna, it was pandemonium yet again. They fell in love with the formula, the shade, the packaging…everything. And of course, it only made them want more.
Finally, the day is here. Allure is ecstatic to be one of the first to announce that brand-spanking-new shades of Fenty Beauty's Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color are coming soon to shelves near you (and online, too). Though, in typical Rih form, she's decided to shake up the system a bit. Meaning: Instead of releasing all the new hues at once, they'll be unveiled one day at a time for a full week. Oh yeah, and no one will know which shade to expect until she announces it herself.
Luckily, the Fenty Beauty team was kind enough to gift us with the new launches, allowing us to put 'em to the test as we do with every newborn product that comes our way. If you're curious — and ahem, you wouldn't be here if you weren't — check out our personal reviews of the lip paints and see them in action, below.
1. Unveil
"I wear colorful, unconventional eye makeup on a daily basis, so I rarely wear lipstick anymore. Needless to say, I was slightly intimidated by how intensely pigmented Unveil was with just one swipe. To make the rich chocolate shade look a bit more subtle with my floral eye makeup, I sheered it out with my fingertip to give it a blurred stain effect." — Devon Abelman, beauty reporter
"I’m a huge fan of browns, but it’s often difficult to find one that isn’t too warm on my already warm skin tone. This one is so perfect because it doesn't bring out any of the red tones in my skin. I also love that, even though it is a matte, it doesn’t leave my lips feeling super dry at all." — Jesa Calaor, beauty editorial assistant
