Why does my sweat smell so strongly like food?

People sweat in order to regulate body temperature and moisturize the skin. The sweat glands release fluid that’s mixed with salt. Certain sweat glands (called apocrine glands), such as those in your armpit and groin, also release fat and protein along with fluid. When sweat combines with material from your body hair and the bacteria that live on your skin, it produces a unique odor.
