Number of deaths due to E-cigarettes increased

Twelve people died in the USA after the use of E-cigarettes in. In addition, there were 805 confirmed and probable injured in connection with the replacement to the conventional cigarette, informed the US health authority CDC on Thursday.

Most recently, the CDC had casualties of around 530 and six of the deaths spoken of. A study in the “New England Journal of Medicine” that there have been 908 wounded, 500 of them confirmed.

The cause of the lung damage is still unclear. In Germany and also in Europe a similar increase of lung damage is not yet known. The complaints seem to be limited to users in the United States. German experts say that E-cigarettes are significantly less harmful than traditional cigarettes. (Read more here about the reasons behind the mysterious deaths.)

Electric cigarettes, in which nicotine-containing liquid is evaporated, have won in the United States and many other countries in the past few years, tremendous popularity. There the deaths had after the consumption of E-cigarettes, however, are the consequences: The state of Massachusetts had banned the sale of E-cigarettes on Wednesday.

Before a düsseldorf court had prohibited the manufacturer Juul, until Further notice, to sell its cartridges for E-cigarettes in Germany. In the U.S., the company had changed recently, the Board of Directors and thus to the growing criticism respond.
