Kim Kardashian Is Getting Mom-Shamed Over a Nude Photo Again

Why, oh why, won't people just leave Kim Kardashian alone? In the span of four days, the reality star/makeup mogul (who happens to be a particular favorite of mom-shamers) has gotten shamed twice — for equally ridiculous reasons.

On Thursday, she uploaded a set of promo pics for her new KKW Beauty release, which drops today. Half were pics of the new pressed powders themselves, while others were from a photo shoot she did just for the occasion: She admires herself in a mirror (propped up by a nude man), poses with a dove (also held up by a presumably nude man), and, finally, languishes nude herself in a bed of blue sheets. It's this last one that people had a problem with.

As Cosmopolitan's screenshots show, Kardashian's comments section is crawling with busybodies not only shaming her for posting a nude photo, but for doing so as a mom. People said things like, "What ever are you going to tell your children when they are old enough to see this?" and "remember ur a mom dude" and "Imagine her kids seeing this when they’re like 12." The list of comments goes on.

However, such commentary is ridiculous, because whether or not someone poses nude has absolutely no bearing on their parenting skills. (As an aside, there's nothing wrong with posing nude in general, whether you're a mom or not.)

This was actually the second round of mom-shaming Kardashian has been subjected to this week. Her last Instagram post before the KKW Beauty promo pics went up on Tuesday was just a regular old family pic of her taking a walk while carrying Chicago, with Saint in tow. But the mom-shamers couldn't leave this one alone, either. In the photo, Saint appears to have a pacifier in his mouth, and the comments are filled with trolls criticizing her for letting him use one at his current age of two.

Kardashian responded by updating her caption to address the shamers directly. "P.S. mom shammers [sic] it’s not a pacifier, he’s eating candy!" she wrote. And of course, some are now taking her to task for that. You just can't win with this crowd, but you shouldn't have to.
