The Suarez Sisters Venture Into Fragrance With Scent Beauty

Scent Beauty is rounding out the year with the launch of its influencer division.
The company opened shop earlier this year as a subsidiary of Edge Beauty, a global beauty business founded by Bernd Beetz and Stephen Mormoris, both former Coty Inc. executives. Scent Beauty officially launched in May with a fragrance from Cher. It is now building out its influencer portfolio, called Scent Lounge, starting with the Suarez Sisters.
"Natalie and Dylana Lim Suarez embody a uniquely American can-do spirit of femininity and inclusivity, fashion-forward yet still accessible, derived from nature with an urban sophistication," said Mormoris in a statement. "It is a delight to work with them and offer their olfactory creations to the public."
The Suarez Sisters Natalie Dylana Eau de Perfume, $50 for 30-ml., will be available on Scent Beauty's web site starting Dec. 19. It was developed in partnership with perfumer Philippine Courtiere of Firmenich.
The fragrance is the first beauty product collaboration from the Suarez Sisters, who typically partner with brands in the fashion space. Last year, Natalie Lim Suarez, aka Natalie Off Duty, paired with Macy's on a digital-first fashion line.
The perfume, said Natalie, is "unisex depending on the person," and was inspired by the sisters' West Coast roots.
"Our original concept was disco desert, the duality," she said.
"It felt really sunny," added Dylana of their mood board. "We were drawn to color. There’s lots of gold inspired by sunsets against desert colors. It felt neutral but also bold."
Their collective following — @natalieoffduty counts 609,000 Instagram followers and @dylanasuarez counts 208,000 — is primarily female, based in New York and Los Angeles.
"Our followers have always been fashion-focused, obviously with lifestyle," said Dylana. "We have a presence abroad — London, Spain, Paris and in Asia. We’re culturally diverse, so we represent a bunch of different cultures."
