Kaley Cuoco Wore $51 of Drugstore Makeup for Her Wedding Day

Kaley Cuoco famously makes $1 million per episode of The Big Bang Theory, but for her wedding to professional equestrian Karl Cook, she and makeup artist Jamie Greenberg chose drugstore makeup that you don't have to be a high-earning actor to buy. Next time someone tries to tell you that more expensive products are automatically better, direct them straight to Cuoco's Instagram, where she documented much of her wedding day prep.

Cuoco chose a standout Reem Acra gown and floor-length matching lace cape for her special day. To play off the ornate dress design, she and Greenberg went with simple, natural-looking makeup that highlighted her bridal glow but kept her looking like herself (aka the "Meghan Markle," as I'm legally obligated to call it). “The Reem Acra dress speaks for itself,” Greenberg told People. “We wanted a natural true Kaley to shine through with this look.”

To prep the skin, Greenberg started her with the celebrity-beloved Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels that have appeared in many a pre-red carpet selfie. From there, she applied a foundation from Cover FX, as well as a subtle pink eye shadow. Then came the drugstore products: For Cuoco's soft eye look, Greenberg used Burt’s Bees Nourishing Eyeliner Pencil in Soft Black ($10) and Burt's Bees Nourishing Mascara ($13) on top and bottom lashes. She finished the eye look with a little bit of wedding day drama, courtesy of Ardell Studio Effects Demi Wispies ($5).

Greenberg then layered Cuoco's lips in three steps: First Burt's Bees All-Weather SPF 15 Moisturizing Lip Balm ($4) to prep the skin and protect it for the outdoor wedding, then Burt's Bees Matte Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands ($9) to create a creamy nude base, and finally Burt’s Bees Liquid Lipstick in Niagara Nude ($10) for color and shine. Greenberg talked up the brand on her Instagram: "Obsessed with @burtsbees Liquid Lipsticks. All about layering hydration and color for a long lasting pout."

All told, Cuoco used only $51 of drugstore makeup, plus the untold prices of the pink shadow and specific Cover FX foundation. Still, it's far less than the cash many folks drop on the day of their weddings for a brand-new beauty look. And those wedding day photos? Priceless.
